Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MΛNIX Social ("MANIX Social", "we", "us") — the website at manix-social.sites.tab.bot and the Android app (package bot.tab.manixsocial) — collects, uses and protects your information. MΛNIX Social is run by an independent developer in India (Manish Saini). By using MΛNIX Social you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: username, display name, email address and/or phone number, birth year (to confirm you are at least 13), and your password stored only as a salted hash — we never store or see your plain password.
• Profile and content you create: profile photo, cover photo, bio, link, posts, photos, videos, reels, stories, captions, comments, likes, saves, follows, and direct messages.
• Device and usage information: sign-in sessions (device/browser type and IP address) used for security, the app version, and basic activity status (shown to others only if you allow it).
• Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, a push token for your device or browser and your notification preferences.
• Camera and microphone: used only when you choose to take a photo or record a video inside the app. Editing (filters, beauty, crop) happens on your phone. Drafts you save stay on your device.
• Reports and support: if you report content or send a "Report a problem" message, its text, an optional screenshot, the page and app version.

We do not collect your contacts, precise location, SMS, call logs or payment information. The Android app shows one banner ad from Google AdMob at the bottom of the screen. To show and measure that ad, Google may receive your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device and app information; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads. We use no other third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

2. How we use your information

• To create and run your account and show your feed, profile, reels and stories.
• To deliver messages and notifications you asked for.
• To keep MΛNIX safe: prevent spam and abuse, review reports, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
• To fix problems and improve the app.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

3. Who can see your information

• Other users see your public profile and what you post. With a private account only approved followers see your posts. Direct messages are visible only to the people in the chat.
• Service providers that run the service for us: secure cloud hosting (database and file storage, served over HTTPS) Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for delivering push notifications to Android phones, and Google AdMob for the banner ad in the Android app. They process data only to provide these services.
• Legal reasons: if required by Indian law or a valid legal request, or to protect users from harm.

4. Storage, security and retention

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls. We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, reels, stories, comments, likes, follows, notifications, sessions, push tokens and uploaded photos/videos are deleted, and the text and media of messages you sent are removed from chats. Only an anonymous placeholder ID (no name, email, phone or content) remains; information may be kept longer only where Indian law requires it. Details: Delete account.

5. Your choices and rights

• Edit your profile, make your account private, control who can message or comment, turn off activity status and read receipts, block people.
• Turn notifications on/off any time in Settings → Push notifications & preferences.
• Download a copy of your data from Settings.
• Delete your account any time — see how to delete your account.

6. Children

MΛNIX Social is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we learn of such an account we delete it.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell users in the app.
